Expert Packaging Advice and Design Service, Artwork Formats

If you need help with artwork formats and design for your poly bags, carrier bags or other packaging solutions or if you’re stuck for how best to package your product for retail point of sale display or direct mail then contact us.
Woldpac offers FREE advice on packaging solutions ranging from luxury paper carrier bags and polythene bags (poly bags) to mailing envelopes, mail order despatch bags and custom products. Our service allows clients to concentrate on their businesses whilst we utilise the years of experience we have gained by providing point of sale and direct mail packaging solutions.
We also have our own design team who can produce artwork for you if you are not able to supply us with the required artwork formats. All artwork that we are asked to produce is checked and sent to customers for approval prior to production.

Artwork Formats

We require artwork from PC created files using any of the following software packages:

• Illustrator 10
• Photoshop 7.0
• Quark Xpress

Please note that earlier versions of the above programs are acceptable but Microsoft Word files cannot be accepted without additional typesetting charges.
Artwork created on Mac and PC must have all text outlined and must be an original EPS Vector File. Please check that the files can be opened on the disc to prevent corrupt files being sent.

Disks

We accept artwork on 100mb PC zip, CD or 3M PC floppy. Small files can also be transmitted by email to paulwoowat@woldpac.co.uk

Scans and EPS Files

4 colour scans should be supplied in Photoshop 7.0 (or earlier) format. Scans must be supplied in actual print size with minimum resolution of 300dpi. Please provide a hard copy of artwork with scans in place.

Transparencies and Photographs

When supplying media for high resolution scanning, please indicate position of scan on the supplied artwork.

Fonts

All screen and printed fonts used on the artwork must be supplied. Alternatively, text can be turned to outlines. For Illustrator files all fonts, placed images and EPS files must be included. We cannot printout high resolution films without these fonts.

Please supply a colour hard copy print out with all digital art. If it is not being printed in 4 process colours (CMYK) all colours must be spot colours, preferably using a Pantone reference number. Each colour should be a on a separate layer as this enable grips and bleeds where necessary. All artwork should be supplied in the same format.
